About FoundYa
FoundYa is a New Zealand business discovery and online visibility platform. We help people find businesses and help businesses present clearer information about what they do, where they operate and how they can be contacted. FoundYa may also provide business profiles, digital visibility assessments, Google Business Profile reviews, monitoring, reports and related tools.
FoundYa does not endorse businesses
FoundYa does not endorse, recommend, approve, certify or guarantee any business listed or displayed on the platform. A business appearing in FoundYa search results, category pages, location pages, profiles or other parts of the platform does not mean that FoundYa has independently assessed or approved that business.
Business information may come from business owners, publicly available sources or other permitted data sources. Users should make their own enquiries before choosing, engaging or paying a business, including checking suitability, qualifications, licences, insurance, pricing, availability, reviews and any other matters that are important to them.
Business information and accuracy
We aim to provide useful and current information, but business information can change and may sometimes be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. FoundYa does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of information shown on business profiles or search results.
Business owners are responsible for information they provide or claim on FoundYa and for keeping that information accurate and current.
Search results and rankings
FoundYa may order businesses using factors such as relevance to the user's search, location, profile information, digital health and other quality or relevance signals. Search position can change over time and may vary depending on the search.
FoundYa does not guarantee any business a particular search position, number of enquiries, traffic, leads or customers. If sponsored or paid placement is introduced, it should be clearly identified as paid or sponsored rather than presented as an organic recommendation.
AI and third-party platforms
FoundYa does not control Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Maps or other search engines, AI systems or third-party platforms. Our tools may help businesses strengthen the clarity, consistency and evidence around their online information, but we do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, inclusion in AI answers or recommendations by any third party.
Business profiles and claims
FoundYa may create or display starter business profiles using publicly available or permitted business information. A business owner may be able to claim and manage a profile. Claiming a profile confirms control of the FoundYa listing; it does not amount to an independent endorsement, certification or verification of the quality of that business.
You must not claim, edit or manage a business profile unless you are authorised to do so.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring information you submit is accurate, lawful and not misleading, and that you have the authority to submit or manage that information. You are also responsible for deciding whether any action suggested by FoundYa is suitable for your business.
You must not misuse FoundYa, attempt to interfere with the platform, submit fraudulent or deceptive information, impersonate another person or business, or use the service in a way that breaches applicable law or the rights of others.
Reviews, links and third-party content
FoundYa may link to business websites, Google profiles, social pages, reviews or other third-party content. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or terms. References to third-party information do not amount to endorsement by FoundYa.
Payments and subscriptions
Where FoundYa offers paid tools, reports, monitoring or subscriptions, the applicable price and payment terms will be shown before purchase. Subscription services continue until cancelled in accordance with the applicable cancellation process. Pricing and features may change for future purchases or subscriptions.
Information only
FoundYa provides discovery, marketing and informational tools. Content, scores, reports and recommendations are not legal, financial, accounting, health, safety or other professional advice. Where professional advice is required, users should obtain it from an appropriately qualified adviser.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FoundYa is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on incomplete, inaccurate or outdated business information, the conduct or performance of a listed business, third-party websites or platforms, or decisions made using FoundYa search results, profiles, scores or reports.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.
Changes to the service
FoundYa is an evolving platform. We may change, add or remove features, ranking signals, products or pricing as the service develops. We may also update these Terms from time to time, with the latest version published on this page.
